We needed to get a good night's rest in Windhoek, as we were setting off on a road trip around Namibia, with a short stop in Botswana, and a very short stop in Angola. 

There would be long stretches of road



simple accommodation

lots of sand
and the occasional kittycat!

Namibia's roads were surprisingly diverse, and although there were fairly long stretches of straight roads and not a lot of traffic, driving did require focusing. Sometimes the road would seem like a mirage, or suddenly end,  twist and turn,  be dusty, sandy, or rocky , but it was never boring.  And you weren't the only ones on it !!
